With the 2030 EU climate and energy targets, and the climate neutrality goal by 2050 in sight, European citizens, and businesses more than ever need available, clean, and affordable solutions. Renewable liquid gaseous fuels have the potential to provide a clean and just solution for European transport and heating, particularly in off-grid, rural areas. The past years have seen an unprecedented development within the liquid gas industry, as new renewable products, such as DME are now becoming available for customers in Europe. Renewable and recycled carbon DME has a great potential for defossilisation of transport, domestic and industrial heating, and cooking. Yet it is not very well-known fuel. The webinar “Defossilising European heating and transport with renewable & recycled carbon DME” aims to introduce DME as well as showcase ready-to-use solutions that can greatly contribute to climate neutrality goal by 2050 and to providing European citizens with just and affordable energy transition.

Speakers include:

  • Rebecca Boudreaux: President & CEO of Oberon Fuels, one of the largest producers of rDME in the world
  • Sophia Haywood: Advocacy & Communication Manager of Dimeta, an European producer of recycled carbon DME
  • Chris Goggin: Operations Director of Rinnai, one of the largest international manufacturers of boilers and heating solutions
  • Ewa Abramiuk – Lété: General Manager of Liquid Gas Europe, the European association for liquid gases, including renewable and recycled DME
