On 21 June, Liquid Gas Europe alongside 7 other associations, sent a letter to national representatives to the Council of the EU, on the upcoming revision of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED).
In this letter, we call for the adoption of a multi-technology and multi-energy vector approach to decarbonisation across all sectors. In particular, the EED should acknowledge the importance of renewable and decarbonised gases and fuels, and promote their use within efficient technologies in all sectors, including residential heating and the building sector.
